The kids are missing chips in this "seven-week-no-grocery-shopping-adventure". I have potatoes though and I had a packet of ranch dressing mix. Well, we still need to perfect the crunch part but I deep fried the sliced potatoes in my fryer and then sprinkled the contents of the ranch dressing packet on the chips. A.MAZ.ING! My son was so excited that he was dancing in the kitchen!
I think the key to perfect chips is slicing them really, really, REALLY thin. We'll try again later after the grease has exited our bodies! :)
