I have wondered for quite some time why no one has ever made a greek gyro salad. I LOVE gyros! Love them!!! A LOT! And decided that surely a gyro salad would taste good. Well, it wasn't half bad. I didn't have gyro meat. That would've made it perfect. I used chicken instead. The homemade tzatziki was just the thing for the dressing!
Greek Gyro Salad
Lettuce
chicken or gyro meat
red onion
tomato
cucumber
feta cheese
Tzatziki Dressing
2/3 C shredded cucumber
1 C plain yogurt
1 small clove garlic minced
1 1/2 T olive oil
1/2 tsp dill
1/4 tsp salt
YUM!!!

Piccolino's has the BEST gyro salad you can imagine. It's made with lamb and is also HUGE. I may give yours a try too!
