French Breakfast Puffs

These were okay. I'm not overwhelmed with desire to make them again and again, but they are a decent muffin.

French Breakfast Puffs
3 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1 C sugar
2/3 C shortening
2 eggs
1 cup milk

1 stick butter
cinnamon/sugar for sprinkling

Preheat oven to 350. Put muffins papers in 18 muffin cups. Stir together dry ingredients and set aside. Blend together sugar and shortening until mixed well. Add eggs. Alternately add dry ingredients and milk. Put in muffin cups and bake for 20-25 minutes. Melt butter. Once muffins are cooked dip the muffins in the butter and then sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
